Frequently Asked Questions:

How long are your tattoo sessions?

I have a few different options. 4 hour half day sessions, 6 hour full days, 10 hour extra long days, and special projects (may take multiple sessions / days).

How far are you booking out?

I book out 1-2 months in advance - so hurry up and submit that booking request!

Where are you located?

I am located at a private studio in between The Heights and Montrose in Houston, TX. The exact location will be provided upon appointment being scheduled.

What are your rates?

$200/hourly with a $800 4-hour minimum. Most sessions are either half day or full day sessions. Half days are $800. Full days are $1200-$2000 depending on size and detail desired.

How painful is hand poke vs machine?

Hand poke is often times a lot less painful when compared to machine tattoos. There is less trauma on the skin and which allows it to heal faster. Of course, some people, very rarely, say that hand poke hurts more. Just remember that everyone’s comfort/pain threshold is different!

Do you do custom designs?

As long as they are aligned with my personal art style, then yes!

Do you do small tattoos?

It depends. I am not a single needle artist and cannot / will not tattoo micro designs. I will tattoo with your best interest in mind meaning I will not tattoo something too small. Keep in mind that my minimum is a four hour half day session. So even a small tattoo will be booked ant this minimum. Also - the small tattoo will need to align with my art style (this is for both of our sake!)

Do you do coverups/reworks?

Generally no, I might add on to and or work around another tattoo, but my style of hand poke does not lend itself well to coverups.

Can I see my design before the appointment?

I share my designs day of your appointment - I do not share sketches prior. There will be time to make small changes to your design in the beginning of your appointment. If a new redesign is required, I require a new appointment to be rescheduled with a new deposit, as designs typically take hours to complete and we would no longer have time to tattoo you that same day. Please make sure to send all relevant info about your desired design when submitting your Booking Request form to prevent this from happening.

What is the after care like for hand poke tattoos?

Hand poked tattoos are taken care of the same way you would a machine tattoo. I will provide a breathable bandage, if requested, that will be left on for two days. For the first three days you will wash the tattoo morning and night, dry the tattoo with a clean paper towel, and put a very very thin layer of Aquaphor on the healing tattoo. For the following three days you will wash it twice daily and switch to an unscented lotion. Afterwards wash and use lotion once daily till peeling is done and you are healed.

* I will of course go over all the aftercare on the day of our appointment as well!
